I am a Control & Systems Engineer with nine years industry experience working with a wide range of technologies and systems. I have managed system repairs and upgrades, installations of new systems, on-going maintenance of running systems and have worked extensively with Siemens PLCs. I am also trained in a variety of manufacturing and repair methods including machine and hand manufacturing techniques. In my spare time I am a passionate electronics tinkerer, focused mainly around micro controllers, and have used an array of programming languages including C++, assembly and java.

    • Repaired and optimised a building wide HVAC system ultimately saving electricity and maintenance costs.

    • Optimised a water treatment process to reduce product hold time between stages as well as plant component total starts and operating times.

    • Negotiated with vendors to ensure the most cost effective solutions while coordinating contractors to carry instillation of system modifications.

    • Achieved project management certification through the APM.

  • Summer Placements (Staythorpe Power Station)

    2012 - 2015

    • Catalogued and backed up all transmitters on site in case of emergency and constructed a database to store all information.

    • Implemented performance upgrades during outage.

    • Developed advanced control systems with remote monitoring.

    • Created and tested installation procedures for new gas flow meters.
